Assembly Instructions

Viewers shipped by truck are shipped complete. Those shipped by air require the following assembly. The main tube with attached helmet and viewing head is complete as shipped to you. You now have to assemble the base with the standing ring and attach it to the main tube.

Note: Use caution when handling heavy items. It is strongly suggested that two people perform the task of assembling this viewer.

  1. Unpack the base, standing ring and ring supports. Remove the three bolts from the bottom of the base that holds the aluminium standing ring in place for shipping. Keep bolts, flat washers, and lock washers for later use.
  2. Remove the four aluminium standing ring supports from the crate, apply light grease to each threaded end (the grease is to make disassembly easy if ever required) and thread those studded ends into the aluminum standing ring.
  3. (If weighted base) Remove the four steel base weights from the crate. Locate the four bolts, four flat washers, and four lock washers found in the hardware bag. Use these bolts (each with a flat washer and a lock washer) to fasten (the weights) loosely through the bottom of the base and into aluminium stand-offs as shown in the weight installation diagram. Note: each bolt is to go up from bottom (through a weight) and then through hole in base and then into bottom of a standing ring support - four bolts (four weights) - four ring supports.
  4. Finish tightening the four bottom bolts (holding the weights) in place.
  5. Use the three bolts, flat washers, and lock washers from step #1 above to bolt main viewer tube to the base.
  6. Lift viewer to its upright position.
  7. Open coin door (on coin machine) and ensure battery is well connected and coin bag is in place. Remove any/all wrenches and keys from the coin bag. On non-coin machines a head wrench (hex keys) and head lock are taped to helmet arms and should be removed. Then close door and insert door lock into door opening and keep the keys in a secure place.
